St. Gilgen International School Austria

St. Gilgen International School is a co-educational boarding school in the Mozart village of St. Gilgen. Academic courses are taught in English, following the framework of the International Baccalaureate. The mission of the school is to offer motivated and talented boarding students an international education in a modern and prestigious learning environment for children in the age of 11 – 18. The school is built in a lakefront park, centrally situated in the beautiful Mozart village of St. Gilgen, in the heart of the Austrian lake-district, close to Salzburg and Munich. Students have immediate access to superb cultural and outdoor pursuits, which provide outstanding opportunities for our extensive co-curricular activities. Mother-tongue maintenance is a high priority. St. Gilgen International School provides a state of the art library and media centre as the heart of the school, a performing arts complex, a music centre (in the house where Mozart’s mother was born and lived), fine arts and media production studios with excellent provisions, and modern laboratories for the sciences. Along with its own boathouse the school provides sailing and water activities.
